Pure Gym to Open New Glasgow Fitness Club

Low-cost gym operator Pure Gym is to open a new fitness club at 140 Bath Street in Glasgow.

The company has negotiated a 15-year deal with landlord Aegon to let the entire building – a 28,531 sq ft space – and will occupy the top two levels, leaving around 7,000 sq ft on the ground floor available for a “complimentary user” to sublease.

Simon Bashford, senior surveyor at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: "Pure Gym continues its expansion in the UK with the acquisition of the former Heathland premises on Bath Street, Glasgow with a predicted opening in July of this year. It is in an excellent location with large critical mass of potential customers to take advantage of the quality, yet affordable, gym offer."

Jones Lang LaSalle in Edinburgh acted for Pure Gym; Savills and Jones Lang LaSalle in Glasgow acted for landlord Aegon.
